Eunice Lucille [McCallister] Bridges
October 13, 1925 ~ November 19, 2003


Funeral services for Eunice Lucille Bridges, 78, of Fletcher, will be Friday, November 21, 2003, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Fletcher, with Rev. A. L. Swagerty of Fletcher officiating.

Mrs. Bridges died Wednesday, November 19, 2003, at her home.

Burial will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery of Chickasha, OK, under the direction of Hodge Funeral Home, Fletcher.

She was born October 13, 1925, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, to John McCallister and Sallie (Smith) McCallister. She grew up in the Ft. Cobb, OK, area. She married Dick Bridges, April 10, 1946, in Pauls Valley, OK. They had lived a short time in Davis, moved back to Ft. Cobb, then went to the Dolese Camp near Richars Spur.

The moved their family to Fletcher in 1961, and she had worked as a manager of the Kentucky Fried Chicken in Chickasha and also worked in Cyril at the M & M dry goods store. Mr. Bridged died August 9, 1992. Mrs. Bridges later worked in this area as a caregiver. She retired in 1997.

Survivors include: 3 sons: Donnie Bridges of Chickasha, Ronnie Bridges of Sulphur, and Bobby Bridges of Fletcher; 8 grandchildren: Becky, Gina, Robin, Ryan, Amy, Cory, Lisa and Jamie; 9 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents: John and Sallie McCallister, Husband, Dick, a daughter, Cindy, and a son, John.
