James William "Bill" Boyd
April 28, 1927 ~ December 7, 2012


Funeral services for James William "Bill" Boyd will be Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sevier Funeral Home Chapel.

JAMES W. "BILL" BOYD was born April 28, 1927 in Ninnekah, OK to R. Lundy and Emma [Brooks] Boyd. He passed away Friday, December 7, 2012 in Chickasha, OK at the age of 85.

Bill has lived in the Chickasha area his whole life and graduated from Chickasha High School.

He served in the U.S. Army during WWII.

Bill worked for Montgomery Wards in Chickasha and was a driver for the Chickasha Transit. He retired from Pet Frozen Foods after 25 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a son, Gary Boyd in 1974.

Bill is survived by three children: Mary Ann Boyd May and her husband, Bob, of Chickasha, Dennis Boyd and his wife, Connie, of Chickasha, Randy Boyd of Chickasha; 12 Grandchildren: Stacy Overby of Chickasha, Lori Clift of Chickasha, Brandon Boyd of Chickasha, Brad Bakke of Anadarko, Rachel Bakke of Anadarko, Hailey May of Chickasha, Harley May of Chickasha, Jillian Boyd Kizer of Chickasha, Jessica Boyd of Chickasha, Janna Boyd of Newcastle, Julie Boyd Bresyn of Lawton, Joshua Boyd of Norman, 11 Great Grandchildren and two Great-Great Grandchildren

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, OK under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
