Eullalah Ora [Bayless] Blanchard
Novovember 4, 1922 ~ January 24, 2010


Funeral service for Eullalah Ora Blanchard, 87, of Weatherford, Texas, former Chickasha resident, will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2010 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.

Blanchard was born Novovember 4, 1922, in the Naples Community, the daughter of John N. and Vera [Smith] Bayless. She went to be with the Lord on January 24, 2010.

She attended Oak Ridge Grade School and Dibble High School, where she graduated in 1940. She attended OCW [Oklahoma College for Women] in Chickasha.

She married Pearl Lester Blanchard on June 7, 1941. They lived in Chickasha 16 months before moving to El Reno, Okla., where there two children, John Dale and Eloise were born. They moved to Amarillo, Texas in 1950 where they lived for 30 years.

After her husband's death in 1990, she moved back to Chickasha to be with her family. She remained there until she became ill and at that time moved to Paris, Texas, to be with her

She was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Chickasha. She was also an active member of the Tascosa Chapter Order of The Eastern Star Chapter 1052. As a member of the Eastern Star, she served on a number of committees in the Grand Chapter of Texas.

She retired from Sears Roebuck and Company after 18 years of service.

Blanchard was preceded in death by her husband, Pearl Lester Blanchard; parents, John and Vera Bayless; 1 son, John Dale Blanchard; 4 sisters, Corene Morris, Thelma Lewis, Naomi Meek, and Maurice Hall; and 1 brother, Ron Bayless.

Survivors include 1 daughter, Eloise Snell and husband, Bill, of Springtown, Texas; Daughter-in-law, Linda Blanchard of Shamrock, Texas; 5 grandchildren, Ross Blanchard, Mike Blanchard, both of Canyon, Texas; Tracy Snell of McAlester, Okla.; Dave Snell of Royse City, Texas; and Deanna Snell of Springtown, Texas; 1 brother, Bud Bayless and wife, Betty, of Oceanside, Calif.; 1 sister: Lavern Rodgers and husband, Tots, of Alex, Okla.; Sister-in-law, Imogene Bayless of Chickasha; 12 great grandchildren; and 1 great great granddaughter.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday.
