Patsy Ruth "Pat" [Holland] Beck
April 3, 1930 ~ September 1, 2007


Funeral Services for Patsy Beck, 77, of Rush Springs will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, September 6, 2007, at the First Christian Church, with Michael Oberlender officiating.

Patsy Beck was born April 3, 1930, in Chickasha, Oklahoma the daughter of Matthew and Norah [Brooks] Holland. She died September 1, 2007, in Chickasha.

Patsy married the love of her life, Gordon Buford Beck Jr., on August 27, 1947, at the age of 17, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. They were married for 53 years before he preceded her in death on February 26, 2000.

She and Buford had lived in Cement, Ninnekah, and later moved to Rush Springs in 1986, where she lived until her health started to decline.

Patsy was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her children and grandchildren.

She was a member of the First Christian Church of Chickasha. She enjoyed being active in the church and enjoyed her church family.

She was a Perpetual Member of Chickasha Chapter #29 Order of the Eastern Star. She also held several offices in the local chapter including Past Matron, and was Past Grand Adah, District Deputy and Past Grand Representative of Oklahoma Grand Chapter.

Patsy was preceded in death by both parents and dear husband Buford Beck.

She is survived by one daughter, Patricia Beck, of Oklahoma City; one son Gordon B. Beck III, of Bothell, Washington; sister-in-law: Francea Ivie, of Moore, Oklahoma; brother-in-law, W.C. Beck of Covington, Oklahoma; six grandchildren: Holly Beck, Brian Beck, Gordon Beck IV, Matthew Beck, Taylor Beck, and Joseph Blitzer; and numerous other relatives.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
