Mary Jane [Brasiel] Guinn Bartlett
July 24, 1927 ~ May 25, 2009


Funeral service for Mary Jane Guinn Bartlett, age 81 of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2009, in the Bible Baptist Church. Rev. Mike Butler will officiate and Rev. Kim Hayes will assist.

Mary Jane was born the daughter of Otis Crawford Brasiel and Bertha Quattlebaum Brasiel on July 24, 1927, in Meeker, Oklahoma.

She died on May 25, 2009, in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Mary Jane lived in the Minco-Cogar area most of her life and later moved to the farm north of Verden.

She worked as a cook in the cafeteria at USAO for many years until retiring in 1995.

She was a member of the Laverty Baptist Church and later the Sharon Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Leslie Guinn and Hiram "Buck" Bartlett, one brother, Jesse Brasiel, two sisters, Mae Quattlebaum and Darlene McCool, three grandsons, Whalen and Darin Turner and William Frank Filip and one great grandson, Dylan Clift.

Survivors include:Daughter: Doris Filip of Chickasha, Daughter: Rolena Guinn of Chickasha, Daughter: Roberta Hargus of Asher, Daughter: Donna Clift of Cement Daughter: Beverly Montgomery of Cement, Daughter: Bonita Harris of Chickasha, Ten Grandchildren, Eighteen Great Grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
