Geraldean Ruth [Brinkley] Angus
March 3, 1924 ~ September 22, 2000


Funeral service for Geraldean Ruth Angus, age 76, of Pocasset, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2000, in the McRay Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Larry Hatfield will officiate.

Geraldean Ruth Angus was born on March 3, 1924, the daughter of Harvey Brinkley and Minnie Phillips Brinkley, in Idabel, Oklahoma. She died on Friday, September 22, 2000, at her home in Pocasset.

Geraldean grew up in the Pocasset area and went to school at Meridian High School. She married Gerald Angus in 1942 at Chickasha. They moved to California in 1948 and lived there until 1984 when they moved to the home place south of Pocasset. Geraldean was a member of the Grand Assembly Church in Chickasha.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Demma Black; one brother Harvey Brinkley, and her husband, Gerald, on October 28, 1993.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Liz Angus of Escolon, California; daughter and son-in-law, Peggy Hunt of Bremerton, Washington; daughter, Connie Potter of San Lorenza, California; brother and sister-in-law, Howard and Wilda Brinkley of Pocasset; sister, Lorene Bartlett of Amber; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and one aunt; friends and church family.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery. Service will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Grand Assembly of God Mission Fund.
