Eunice Louise [Cochran] Adkins~Ivey
May 11, 1922 ~ June 27, 2009


Funeral Services for Eunice Louise Adkins-Ivey, 87, of Chickasha will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at 10:00 am in the Calvary Baptist Church with Brother Chuck Patterson officiating.

Eunice Louise Cochran was born May 11, 1922 in Marlow, Oklahoma the daughter of Robert Benjamin Cochran and Susie Thomas Cochran.

She died Saturday June 27, 2009 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

Eunice grew up east of Marlow and gradated from Rush Springs High School in 1941.

She married Johnnie Ivey on May 15th 1941 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Eunice was employed as a supervisor over the watch crystals at Sentry in Chickasha, even being sent to Mexico to teach watch crystals and their making.

She enjoyed sewing, oil painting, knitting, and trips to south Texas to camp and fish.

She was also a very dedicated Sunday school teacher.

She is preceded in death by husbands Jonnie Ivey and Joe Haskell Adkins; both parents; seven brothers; J.W, Issac, Edgar, Horace, Kenneth and Harold Cochran; Troy Dean and one sister Stella Cook.

Survivors include two sons; Charles "chuck" and Deanna Ivey of Chickasha and Johnny and Peggy Ivey of Tuscaloosa, AL; one sister Christine Cochran of Marlow; one brother John A. Cochran of Prescott, AZ; and one sister in law Ruby Cochran of Greenwood, AR. one grandchild, one step grandchild, and two great-great grandchildren.

Casket bearers will be Darrell Goff, Johnny Gregg, Richard Jennings, and Donnie Bowden.

Internment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
