Alma "Tude" [Drake] Watkins
December 15, 1900 ~ March 23, 1993


Funeral service for Alma Watkins, 92, of Chickasha, was held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, March 25, 1993, at the Southern Baptist Chapel in Alex.

Alma Watkins was born December 15, 1900, in Marietta, Oklahoma, the daughter of Alfred and Florence [Johnson] Drake, and died Tuesday, March 23, 1993, in Chickasha.

Mrs. Watkins moved to Ireton in 1908 and had lived in the area since that time.

She and Robert Watkins were married in 1919 in Bradley, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death November 14, 1990.

Mrs. Watkins was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church of Hawkins.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Darlene Keith; son-in-law, Jack Burleson; and seven sisters.

Survivors include one daughter, Foy Burleson of Alex; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and eight great great grandchildren.

Interment was in the Alex Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
