William Perry Palmer
August 8, 1872 ~ October 10, 1938


W. P. Palmer Dies

W. P. Palmer,66, for several years a resident of this community, passed on from a Chickasha hospital Monday afternoon after a short illness.

Funeral services were held at the East Side Church of Christ Tuesday afternoon with burial in the Morris cemetery.

Left to mourn his loss is the widow, one son, Wiley, in Arizona, and five daughters, Luna Armstrong and Elba Shaw of Chickasha, Velma Herring, Virgie Armstrong and Hazel Cox, of this locality.

Two daughters preceded him in death.

Rosa Bell [Lee] Palmer
March 7, 1876 ~ June 8, 1968


Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa Bell Palmer, 92, Alex, who died Saturday in Grady Memorial Hospital, were held at 2 pm today in the Main Street Church of Christ, Alex with Coy [?] Potter [?] officiating.

Mrs. Palmer was born March 7, 1876 in Carlton, Tex. She moved to Oklahoma in 1913 [?] settling in Ardmore and later moving to Pauls Valley. She had been a resident of the alex and Bradley Community for the past 38 [?] years. She was married to William Palmer July 12, 1899 at Carlton, Texas. He preceeded her in death Oct.10, 1938.

She was a member of Main Street Church of Christ, Alex.

Survivors include on son, Willey Grant Palmer, of Alex; five daughters: Mrs. Virgie Armstrong of Alex, Mrs. Velma Herring of Visalia, Cal, Mrs. Lona Armstrong of Chickasha, Mrs. Hazel Cox of Lawton, Mrs. Elwa Shaw of Alex; 14 grandchildren, 22 great grand children and 3 great, great grandchildren.

Interment was in the Alex Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
