John Ryland Larry Ketchum
May 26, 1995 ~ October 4, 2017

Ryland was born May 26, 1995 in Chickasha, Oklahoma and passed away on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 near Lindsay, Oklahoma.

From Kindergarten to graduation, Ryland attended Alex Public School. As a graduate of Alex High School Class of 2014, he participated in Football, Basketball, Baseball, and Track. He was a member of a State Semi-Final Football Team, a State Qualifier Track Relay Team, an Area Tournament Basketball Team, and received many individual baseball awards.

As a loving, brother, grandson, son, and friend, most every time out the door was a "love you" just before it closed. Growing up, he very much enjoyed time with friends and family, the Friday night lights of a game-time, and the opportunity to agitate any of the above named parties.

Following high school, Ryland was employed with CanOk, Cobalt, and lastly Shebester-Bechtel, Inc. Like many, work was not a career, yet a job, so he looked forward to the weekend for time with friends and family. With rarely a dull moment around him, it was certain to have jokes and laughs. If at any point the moment appeared to begin to become any bit dismal, it was off to other friends and family.

Constantly glowing in his lasts days, Ryland was almost inseparable from Morgan Lathan, cherished the time with Blaikyn Wilkerson, looked forward to the conversations and preparation of the coming newborn with Sarah Castillo.

Ryland is survived by significant Morgan Lathan, parents Tom & Traci Ketchum of Alex, OK, brother Tra Ketchum of Poteau, OK, sister Olivia Ketchum of Alex, OK, Grandfather John Fuller of Alex, OK, Grandmother Shirley Ketchum of Alex, OK, Grandmother Cathy Blakley of Oklahoma City, OK, Aunt Kim Fuller of Alex, OK, Aunt Magen Stewart and husband Grant, and cousins Adam and Brooke, all of Dallas, TX and many 2nd cousins and great aunts and great uncles. Proceeded in death were Aunt Mandy Ketchum, Grandfather Tommy Ketchum, Great-Grandparents Charles & AlphaDene Blakley, Great-Grandmother Fannie Webb, Great-Grandfather Clyde Ketchum.

Pallbearers: Dalton Payne, Devin Thornburg, Sheldon Hoover, Jose Ochoa, Jacob Otey, and Shaedon Caster. Honorary Pallbearers: Holly Anderson, , Lacey Maldonado, Bekah Branch, Raven Bonds, Jessica Thornburg.

Funeral Service: 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, B. M. McElroy Field House, Alex, OK. Committal Service: Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017, Alex Cemetery, Alex, OK.
