November 13, 1927 ~ April 26, 2014


Carrie Bell Dutton of Lindsay, Oklahoma passed from this life on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at her home at the age of 86.

Carrie was born on November 13, 1927 in Alma, Arkansas to O.L. and Lona Branch.

As a child, Carrie moved with her parents to Bradley, Oklahoma. She later moved to Lindsay and was a long-time resident here.

She was a devoted mother who loved her children and all of the babies that followed. Her family saw her as the very strongest person they ever knew, living her life one day at a time. "One Day At A Time" was also her favorite song of all and she lived it!

Carrie is survived by one son, Darrell W. Richardson and wife Niki of Lindsay, Oklahoma four daughters: Jean Wright and husband James and Tommie Wise, all of Lindsay, OK, Linda Lewis of Gallitan, Missouri and Martha Castoe Humphers of Allen, Oklahoma and one brother, Benham J. "B.J." Branch and wife Dorothy of Bradley, Oklahoma. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Terence Wade Castoe, Jason T. Castoe, Billy Lewis, Stacey Williams, Lisa Lewis, Betty Edins, Clark Richardson, Kira Davis, Chad Wise, Stephanie Fuller, Crystal Moore and Donnie Wright as well as twenty-seven great-grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Preceding Carrie in death were her parents, one grandson, Mark Wright and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Ms. Dutton are set for ten o'clock a.m. on Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at the United Methodist Church, located at 114 W. Chickasaw in Lindsay, Oklahoma with Rev. Ron King officiating. Interment will follow at Alex Cemetery in Alex, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of B.G. Boydston Funeral Home of Lindsay, Oklahoma.
