July 02, 1924 ~ July 28, 2019

A. B. Pearson, of Pauls Valley, passed away July 28, 2019 in Sulphur, Oklahoma at the age of 95 years.

A. B. was born July 2, 1924 in Stratford, Oklahoma to Willie (Rambo) Pearson and Alford Alonzo Pearson.

He served his tour of duty in the United States Army and is a Veteran of World War II. A. B. was married to Velma Roady at Ardmore, Oklahoma in September of 1963. He retired as Maintenance Supervisor of Pauls Valley Schools and was a member of the Pauls Valley Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alford A. and Willie Pearson; his wife, Velma Pearson; brothers, Albert Pearson, Lonnie Pearson, and Lloyd Pearson; and sisters, Dorothy Linville, and Imogene Pruitt.

His surviving family include his stepdaughters, Mary Westphal, Yvonna Fields, and Nila Dean; 8 grandchildren, numerous great grand and great-great grandchildren; sisters in law, Betty Campbell and June Pearson.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 3:00 pm at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery Pavilion officiated by Dr. Joe Elam. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.

Velma (Roady) Pearson

May 5, 1914 ~ March 15, 2009

Velma Pearson, of Pauls Valley was born May 5, 1914 in Maud, Oklahoma to Lee Garland Roady and Ora Mae Walker Roady.

She passed away March 15, 2009 at Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 94 years.

Velma Roady was married to A. B. Pearson in Ardmore, Oklahoma in September, 1963. She was a very active member of the Church of Christ. Velma was a good wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee & Ora Roady; 2 brothers, 1 sister, 2 half brothers and 2 half sisters.

Surviving family include her husband, A. B. Pearson of the home; 4 children, Mary Mae Westphal and Walter Lee Campbell, both of Pauls Valley; Yvonna Lee Fields of Palmer, Texas; and Nila Sue Dean of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.

Memorials may be made to the Church of Christ Building Fund in memory of Velma.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 19, 2009 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Roy Shave and John Curtis. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.
