George Edward Cornell

George Cornell, a long-time resident of Pauls Valley, was born January 20, 1911, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, to Ernest and Ida [Caruthers] Cornell.

He passed away February 1, 2006, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, at the age of 95 years.

George was a member of the Beaty Baptist Church. He and Myrtle Swiger were married in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, on July 21, 1931.

He was a farmer and had made the Beaty and Antioch communities his home all of his life.

He was preceded in death by parents, Ernest and Ida Cornell; his wife of 64 years, Myrtle Cornell on January 3, 1996; one son, Carl Cornell on August 11, 1996; and two sisters, Tressie Fuller and Alma Cook.

Surviving family include one son, Glen Cornell and his wife Norma; a daughter-in-law, Theresa Cornell; and one sister, Lorene O'Neal, all of Paul Valley; five grandsons: Jerry Cornell and his wife Amy, Keith Cornell, and Scott Cornell, all of Pauls Valley, Kent Cornell and his wife Ginger of Sulphur, and Mark Cornell and his wife Kolinda of Poteau; two granddaughters: Angie Mariano and her husband Mike of Arkansas, and Jeanette Bunch and her husband Tom of Pauls Valley; 13 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Cornell, Keith Cornell, Scott Cornell, Kent Cornell, Mark Cornell, Mike Mariano and Tom Bunch.

Funeral services will be held Monday, February 6, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Stufflebean Chapel officiated by Rev. Finis Steelman.

Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.

Glendal Ray "Glen" Cornell


Glen Cornell, of Pauls Valley, passed away March 17, 2013 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 81 years.

Glen was born February 6, 1932 near Paoli, Oklahoma in the grandmother's home to George Edward and Myrtle Freddie [Swiger] Cornell.

He was married to Norma Whitefield in Ada, Oklahoma on April 8, 1953. He work as an Oil Field Pumper in 1974 he began Cornell Construction and in 1984 closed the Construction Company that he started and began farming and ranching. He was a member of Beaty Baptist Church and has made the Pauls Valley area his home all of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George Edward and Myrtle Freddie [Swiger] Cornell; his brother, Carl Dean Cornell and mother-in-law, Madie Whitefield.

Surviving family include his wife of 60 years, Norma of the home; their children, Jerry Cornell and his wife, Amy; Keith Cornell; and Jeanette Bunch and her husband, Tom, all of Pauls Valley; 8 grandchildren, Tonya Hines and her husband, Jason; Crystal Pietroforte and her husband, Louie; Jerod Cornell; Stephen Rains and his wife, Crystal; Stephanie Rains; Nicole Cornell; Ashleigh Cornell and Nathan Rains; 11 great-grandchildren, Leah Pietroforte, Savannah Pietroforte, Braxton Rains, Jayden Hines, Mackenzie Unruh, Brinley Hines, Sydnie Pietroforte, Saydee Unruh, Nicole Coffee, Kaitlyn Rains and Glendale Rains; 2 sisters-in-law, Tretha Carpenter of Paoli; and Trish Cornell of Pauls Valley; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean-Coffey Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Pastor Stephen Reid and Bro. David English.

Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.

Jerry Glen Cornell

Jerry Glen Cornell, 60, of Pauls Valley, passed away August 5, 2014 in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the age of 60 years.

Jerry was born April 10, 1954 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma to Glendal Ray and Norma [Whitefield] Cornell.

He was raised in the Beaty Community and has made the Pauls Valley area his home all of his life.

On April 10, 2003, he and Amy Greenwood were married in Ozark, Arkansas.

Jerry worked in the oil fields for many years and in different positions, including Pumper, and in recent years he was an Oil Filed Consultant.

He was preceded in death by his father, Glen Cornell; and twin grandsons.

Surviving family include his wife, Amy; four children, Nicole Cornell, and Ashleigh Cornell, all of the home; Tonya Hines and her husband, Jason, of Elmore City; and Jerod Cornell, of Lindsay; his mother, Norma Cornell of Pauls Valley; two grandchildren, Jayden Hines and Brinley Hines; a brother, Keith Cornell and a sister, Jeanette Bunch and her husband, Tom, all of Pauls Valley; aunts, Trish Cornell and Tretha Carpenter.

Funeral services will be held Friday, August 8, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Stufflebean-Coffey Chapel of Remembrance officiated by Rev. Roger Rounsaville.

Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Arrangements and interment are under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.

Keith Ray Cornell

Born to Glendal Ray and Norman Jean [Whitaker] Cornell.

He worked as an Oil Field Pumper.

He loved his Harley-Davidson motorcycle; his family and his many friends.

Keith was a 'Free Spirit' and loved nature, enjoyed going to Mount Scott near Lawton. He recently was able to go there and enjoy its beauty one more time.

He was also a long-time member of the Beaty Baptist Church.
