Catherine [Hall] Blevins
Nana loved life until her passing on Thursday, December 29, 2011, at the age of 82. She was born in Garvin County, Oklahoma in the Brady Community on April 10, 1929 to O.G. and Vivian Hall. She attended Pauls Valley High School, and then worked for Schlumberger before entering a long career at the Oklahoma Tax Commission. She retired three years ago, after 40 years of service to the State. She loved discussing politics and sports with friends, family and me, her only grandchild. She was Nana to me, because grandmother made her feel old.
Our family is very grateful that Nana was able to attend and enjoy my marriage to Jessica and have a wonderful Christmas a week ago. Nana loved her family and stayed in close contact with her daughter and relatives in Oklahoma City and in Amarillo. Nana lived life to the fullest, making countless friends over the years. She loved to opine about anything and everything, dance to country music, cheer for the Sooners, watch John Wayne movies, and just two months ago rode a longhorn bull. That was my Nana.
Nana is survived by my parents, Brenda and Jerry Sepkowitz, me, Joshua Sepkowitz, and my wife, Aunt Neva, cousins Pam and Debbie and their beautiful families.
A family graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday morning at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery under the direction of the Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home in Pauls Valley.
A memorial service will be held at St. Edward's Chapel at Casady School at 9500 N. Pennsylvania in Oklahoma City, 73120, on Tuesday evening, January 3, 2012 at 6:00 p.m.
