August 26, 1953 - September 30, 2022

The services celebrating and honoring the life of Forrest Neil Ridgway, 69, of Edmond will be held 2:00 P.M. Tuesday October 4, 2022, in Central Christian Church with burial to follow in the White Cemetery, Hunter, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Forrest Neil Ridgway was Born August 26, 1953 to Maurice Mary Jane Williason Ridgway in Enid, Oklahoma and passed from this life September 30, 2022 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

He raised and educated in Hunter graduating from Hunter High School with the class of 1971. He began his career with Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad where he was an engineer for over forty years until his retirement in 2013. He married Linda Goodrich August 25, 1972, in the Hunter Christian Church. From this union came two daughters. The couple celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary in 2022. He then attended Auto Collision at Autry Technology School where he was on the honor roll.

He was a 32nd degree Mason and was a member of Enid Masonic Lodge 501 and Pond Creek Masonic Lodge 25 where he was a past Master of both. He was also a member of the Enid Shrine Club, where he founded the Enid Shrine Sports Festival ten years ago, and a Knights Templar.

He is survived by his wife Linda Ridgway, of the home; two daughters, Jamie Ridgway, of Dallas, Texas, and Shelby Sewell, of Oklahoma City; two grandchildren, Sydney and Asa Sewell; two sisters Cynthia and Robert Smith, of Enid, and Sallie and Mark Lamb, of Pond Creek.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister.

Memorials may be made in his honor to the Central Christian Church Welcome Table with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
