George Kroeker, 75, 1022 W. Thompson, died late Tuesday in a Fairview nursing home. His funeral will be at 2 PM Friday in the Enid Mennonite Brethren Church with the Rev. Lynford Becker and the Rev. Henry L. Janzen officiating.
He will be buried in Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Kroeker, a prominent Enid area farmer, was born March 16, 1900, in a sod house northeast of Enid and had lived in Garfield County his entire life. He was a member of the Enid Mennonite Brethren Church and the Faithful Workers Sunday School Class.
He and Eva Janzen were married January 29, 1922, and observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1972.
In addition to Mrs. Kroeker, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Melvin (Helen) Warkentin of Dallas, Texas, and Mrs. Dan (Alma) Ediger of Enid; a son, Wesley Kroeker of Enid; nine grandchildren and two great – grandsons; three brothers, Henry F. Kroeker of Enid, Bill Kroeker of Oxford, Kansas, and John Kroeker of Enid.
Contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Bible Academy at Meno with the funeral home acting as custodian of the fund.
