A private service for Margaret “June” Kretlow, 89, of Enid, was held at 3 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2013, in Memorial Park Cemetery, with Rev. Gary Miller officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. June was born Sept. 16, 1923, in Edmond, Okla., to Edward Elmer and Vinnie “Bennie” Hardy and passed away Sunday, March 24, 2013, at the home. She attended and graduated from Putnam City High School and later attended Central State University, Edmond.
On Nov. 13, 1944, she married Louis H. Kretlow. He passed away Sept. 12, 2007.
June was an executive assistant at Vance AFB and was co-owner of Edmond Bowling Lanes. She enjoyed playing bridge, painting, doing crafts, gardening, cooking, designing and making clothes, needlepoint and cross stitching, and was a bookkeeper. June loved to paint china. June was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Enid.
June is survived by her daughters, Karen Harris of Enid, and Jonee Hanson of Los Olivos, Calif., and grandchildren, Sam, Matt, Marisa Harris, Jaime Hanson, and Derek, Dustin and Jed Krout; and two great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother and two sisters; daughter, Diana L. Krout; two grandchildren, Kyle Krout and Kristen Hanson; two sons-in-law; and a great-grandson.
