The funeral for Garry K. Kirk is 11 a.m. today, Jan. 13, 2017, in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Chaplain Gary Miller will officiate. Burial follows in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Garry was born August 11, 1931, in Kellyville, to Clifford and Pearl(Dotson) Kirk, and passed away Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, in his home in Enid. He attended Hominy schools, graduating with the class of 1949. On June 29, 1962, he married Jane Cresswell and the couple made their home in Enid. Gary worked as a survey engineer with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. He retired May 30, 1986, after more than 35 years of service. Garry was a member of the Moose Lodge and the American Bowling Congress. He and his wife Jane loved to travel, especially to Las Vegas.
He is survived by his son, Cliff Kirk and wife, Elaine, of Frisco, Texas, daughter, Sonya Wood and husband, David, of LaCenter, Wash., six grandchildren, Kayla, Cortney, and Kristen Kirk and Michael, Christopher, and Alisha Wood, and one sister, Jean Kern of Stockton, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jane, two brothers and three sisters.
Memorials may be made through Henninger-Hinson to OMRF(Heart Division).
