Paul D. King, 61, Sulphur, formerly of Enid, died Sunday in a Sulphur hospital following a long illness.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 PM in the Chapel of the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home with the Rev. Orville Parham officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Henninger – Allen Funeral Home.
King was born December 2, 1913 in Peckham and lived in Oklahoma all his life. He graduated from Garber high school, then farmed for several years in the Pond Creek area. He then went into the trucking business, before entering the U. S. Army and serving four years during World War I I. After being discharged from the Army, he re-entered the trucking business in Enid. He moved to Oklahoma City, then to Sulphur in 1962 where he remained until his death.
He is a member of the Methodist Church and American Legion Post No. 35.
Survivors include two brothers, Delbert S. King of Enid and Donald C. King of Pond Creek, three sisters, Mrs. John (Martha) Linde of Guymon, Mrs. Glen D. (Ruth) Gray, Vinita, and Mrs. Merle T. (Marian) Baldwin, Oklahoma City.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.
