Mrs. Donnie P. King, 64, died early Wednesday afternoon in a local hospital following a lengthy illness.
Her funeral rites will be at 10 AM Saturday in the Henninger – Allen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Charles Gibson officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery. The body will lie in state until 10 AM Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation with Henninger – Allen as custodian of the funds.
Mrs. King was born in DeLeon, Texas, on February 7, 1908. She and M. T. (Pete) King were married November 7, 1922. They lived in DeLeon until moving to Enid in 1944. She was a member of the Davis Park Christian Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Walt (Ann) Minor and Mrs. Leo (Edna) Tunnell, both of Enid and Mrs. Kenneth (Jerry) Roach of Ponca City, a son, Sideny D. King of Woodward; three brothers, Elgie Moore of Kentucky, Willie Earl Moore, Wewoka and Charlie Moore, Durant; three sisters, Eula Leora Northcutt, Ada, Mattie Lois Jobe of Calera and Betty E. Spencer, Crockett, Texas; 10 grandchildren and four great – grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband.
