Robert Wayne Krieg ("Momo")
July 10, 1933 - February 1, 2022
Funeral service for Robert "Momo" Krieg, 88, of Enid, will be Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in Redeemer Lutheran Church, with Pastor Dwayne Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.
Robert was born on July 10, 1933, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, to John and Sophia Krieg and died on February 1, 2022, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
He grew up in Ponca City and graduated from Ponca City High School in 1950. Robert enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1954 and served in White Sands, New Mexico, servicing Nike Missiles. After his discharge, he enrolled in Oklahoma A&M College and graduated from Oklahoma State University. On October 25, 1959, he married Rena Horton in Ponca City. Robert worked for OG&E for over 35 years, retiring in 1994. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and served on many boards. Robert was an avid volunteer at the Railroad Museum of Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two infant sisters; three brothers, Harold, Lawrence and Earl.
Robert is survived by his wife, Rena; children and their spouses, Pam and Mark Combest and Michael and Terri Krieg; three grandchildren, Carson (Jennifer) Combest, Carle (Kyle) McFadden, and Caleb Hulse; two great-grandchildren, Emma and Oliver Combest; other relatives and friends.
