Mass of Christian Burial for Bernie A. Kretchmar, 64, of Enid, formerly of Medford, will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Medford. The Rev. Mike Wheelahan will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Hills-Ely Funeral Home, Medford.

He was born Feb. 25, 1942, in Enid to Bernard and Betty Keller Kretchmar and died Saturday, April 15, 2006, in Enid. He attended Jefferson school, graduating in 1960. He moved to Wichita, Kan., attended technical school and worked at Beech Aircraft. He returned to Medford in 1962 and began farming and custom harvesting.

He married Karen Kent Oct. 5, 1963. They made their home on a farm near Medford. Following his retirement, they moved to Enid in July 2003.

Surviving are his wife, Karen, of Enid; children, Lynn Kretchmar of Enid, Robin Monogue of Missoula, Mont., and David Kretchmar of Indianola, Iowa; his mother, Betty Kretchmar of Enid; siblings, Peggy Reeser of Ketchum, Danny and Randy Kretchmar, both of Medford, and Debby Harwood of Tulsa; and nine grandchildren.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Hospice Circle of Love or Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, cancer division.
