A Private Family Graveside for Rene L. Eggers will be Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at 10:00 am Monday with Pastor David Reber officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Rene was born October 16, 1939 in Enid to Alfred and Sophia (Blocker) Eggers and passed away Thursday evening in the Woodward Hospital. He attended school at Pioneer High School and graduated in 1958. Rene married Donna Bachaus on August 2, 1958 and later married Rebecca (Becky) Maxey on November 28, 1998. He worked as a farmer and in the Oil field. Rene served on the Garfield Fair Board, Kay Electric Coop, and Garfield County Farm Bureau. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church-Garber, St. John’s Lutheran Church-Covington and later became a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Enid.
Rene is survived by his wife Becky of the home, daughters; Mona Hein and husband Rev. Mark Hein, Geri Ayers and husband Bruce, Jodi Cline-Jones and husband Floyd, and Dana Morris, bonus daughter Brandi Keen, bonus son Heath Roberts and fiancé Felicia Parker and Isaac and Stella, 2 bonus grandchildren Zoe and Zac Keen who were the joys of his life, 6 grandchildren Justin, Tanner, Connor, Adam, Sara, and Joel, 6 great grandchildren, special friends Mark and Judi Diel, Mike Keen and several friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law Bobbie Maxey, sister in laws Rusti Shields, Randi Rosson, and brother-in-law Robert Maxey.
