Marjorie Edwards was born to Bill and Agnes Hileman on May 20, 1933 in Covington, Oklahoma. Margie attended Covington School. On September 8, 1948, she married Bill Edwards in Van Buren, Arkansas. She passed away on January 13, 2020 surrounded by loved ones.
Margie was baptized in the Covington Christian Church where she was a member until the time of Bill's death. Since that time, she was a member of Central Christian Church in Enid.
Margie and Bill farmed in Garfield, Logan and Grant Counties. She made sure nobody went hungry during their workday by providing delicious homemade meals to everyone working on the farm. She enjoyed gardening and the pretty flowers that she grew.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bill and Agnes Hileman, husband Bill Edwards, granddaughter Stephanie Lee, and sister Alberta Miller.
She is survived by her daughters Janet Lohmeyer (Jay) of Enid and Carol Peach (John) of Hennessey. She is survived by 5 grandchildren: Jeremie Lee (Cheryl) of Tulsa, Gina Esau (Jason) of Piedmont, Derek Peach (Rhonda) of Hennessey, Ryan Lohmeyer of Oklahoma City and Calla Cowan (Scott) of Yukon. She is survived by 9 great-grandchildren: Jessica (Daniel) Wunsch of Bartlesville, Noah Lee of Bartlesville, Mallory, Whitney, and Aubrey Esau of Piedmont, Kaleb and Kenna Peach of Hennessey and Chloe and Wyatt Cowan of Yukon. She also had 2 great-great-grandchildren: Bentlee and Willow Wunsch of Bartlesville. She is survived by her sister Florence Young of Martinsville, Indiana. She also leaves behind several nephews and nieces.
The memorial service will be held at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel in Enid at 10:00 am on Friday, January 17, 2020 with Rev Tom Stanley and Rev Ish Engle officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made in Margie's honor to Central Christian Church in Enid.
