The funeral for Edwin D. Eck, 87, of Goltry, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. Brothers Leslie Busbee and Stanley Dickson will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

He was born Dec. 27, 1917, in Meno to Dan A. and Ida Becker Eck and died Sunday, July 24, 2005, at his home in Goltry.

He attended Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa and served in World War II. On March 28, 1948, he married Lillian Sorrell in Myrtle, Mo. They made their home in Enid, later moving to Meno and Goltry. He was a farmer and a member of the Enid Church of God.

Surviving are his wife, Lillian, of the home; two daughters, Elois Spinks of Jefferson, Ore., and Neta Murphey of Guthrie; two sons, Darrell Eck of Goltry and Merrill Eck of Beatty, Ore.; three sisters, Clara Wahl of Enid, Ruey Tucker of Henryetta and Ella Mae Jarvis of El Dorado, Kan.; one brother, Paul Eck of Enid; eight grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by six brothers and six sisters.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Church of God.
