Mennonite Brethren Cemetery


The funeral service for Ernest Henry Voth, age 85 will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 2:00 pm at the First Baptist Church. Rev Keith Miller will officiate. Burial will be in the Enid Mennonite Brethren Cemetery. The family will have a special visitation in their home, Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm. Arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Ernie was born August 17, 1925 in Kremlin, OK to Peter and Clara Toews Voth and died June 5, 2011 at St Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

He served in the US Army during WW II. On November 22, 1956 he married Virgie Dezort in Mooreland, OK. He was a life long farmer and rancher in the Kremlin and Hunter area. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and also was Past President and Board member of the Kremlin Coop. He enjoyed watching basketball games and other sports events and especially enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren, whether they were reading books, checking his cattle or riding his four wheeler.

Survivors include his wife, Virgie of the home, son, Tom Voth and wife Diane of Houston, TX, daughters, Susan Kilmer and husband Bill of Oklahoma City, OK, Karen Lemley and husband John of Stillwater, OK; seven grandchildren: John Voth, Vanessa Voth, Lauren Kilmer, Jordan Kilmer, Kalli Kilmer and Kassidy and Bethany Lemley; brother, John E Voth and wife Mary Ann of Kremlin, OK and sister, Dorothy Gray and husband Gene of Tulsa, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Clara Voth, brother, Robert Voth and nephew, Danny Voth.
