July 25, 1954 - June 18, 2021

The services celebrating and honoring the life of Kim Jane Wheeler, 66, of Ringwood, are pending at the Faith Center, Meno, with Pastor Cody Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the Enid Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Kim was born July 25, 1954, to Kermit and Merlyn (Erickson) Kimbro, in Chicago, Illinois, and passed from this life June 18, 2021, at home, with her family by her side in Ringwood, Oklahoma.

Kim was raised and educated throughout the United States following her father’s Air Force career. She graduated from Mustang Oklahoma High School. She was married to Danny Lee Wheeler on September 8, 1975, in Dallas, Texas. Their children, LaVeta Wheeler Southwell, Lester Gene Wheeler, and Kimberly Ann Wheeler. The couple made their home in Mustang until moving to Ringwood in 2002. She worked at various jobs in the Oklahoma City area. After moving to Ringwood, She then worked at the Lahoma Corner Store. She never met a stranger. Kim enjoyed fishing, growing roses, and spending time with her family. Danny and her grandchildren were her world. She loved roses and had a vast frog collection. She always felt most at peace enjoying the beautiful outdoors and wildlife at her home.

She is survived by her husband of forty-five years, Danny, and of the home, daughters, LaVeta Wheeler Southwell and husband Randy, of Yukon, and Kimberly Wheeler, of the home, two sons Lester Wheeler and wife Julie, of Bethany, and Michael Shah, of Texas, one adopted son Scott Justus and wife Diana, of Mustang, six grandchildren, Brianna Southwell, Stephen Wheeler, Anna Wheeler, Daniel Wheeler, Elisabeth Wheeler, and Samuel Wheeler; four great grandchildren, Corbin Southwell, Calliope Rowe, Clementine Rowe, Coraline Mae Rowe; and two brothers, Kyle Kimbro and Kevin Kimbro.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Kermit and Merlin Kimbro, one sister Karen Shah and one brother Keith Kimbro.

The family requests that memorials be made in her honor to Furever Friends or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
