November 9, 1936 - July 11, 2021

Sherry L. Myers-Somma was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She left this world suddenly July 11, 2021.

Sherry was born November 9, 1936, in Blackwell, Oklahoma, to Austin and Fannie Mae Mitchell. She had two brothers, Charles and Gene, and a sister, Lavona. She grew up in Blackwell and attended Blackwell Public Schools, graduating from Blackwell High School. Subsequently, Sherry attended Tonkawa Junior College, where she met Daymond Rex Myers. They were married July 22, 1956, making their home in Enid, Oklahoma. Sherry gave her life to raising her three children, Brandy Shea, Daymond Scott and Shannon Lee.

All who knew Sherry knew she loved her family most, including grandchildren Connor, Madison, Dillon and Montgomery as well as her best friend, Jada, the German shepherd. Sherry was an active participant in the lives of her children and grandchildren, attending activities across the United States. She also loved sports, coffee, cooking, old classic movies and holding huge Christmas and Thanksgiving family gatherings.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Daymond; son, Charles Darren; brothers, Buddy and Boogie; and sister, Sissy.

Sherry is survived by children, Brandy Myers of Enid; Scott Myers and wife Brenda of Edmond and their children, Connor and Dillon; Shannon Boler and husband Troy of Enid and their children, Madison and Montgomery.

Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 15, 2021, in Enid Cemetery. Chaplain Gary Miller will officiate. Services are under the direction of Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home. Viewing will be 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions can be given to Enid SPCA, with Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home acting as custodian of the funds.
