Graveside service for Rita Rae (Roland) Martin is 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2018, at Enid Cemetery. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Rita was born March 10, 1939, in Rosenberg, Texas, to Dudley H. and Pearl J. Roland, and died April 4, 2018, at her home in Enid, Oklahoma. She attended Benton High School in St. Joseph, Missouri, and graduated in 1957. She was crowned Miss Shamrock her senior year. Rita went on to attend Sacred Heart Dominican College in Houston, Texas. She married Harrison B. Martin the summer of 1961, in St. Joseph, Missouri, and subsequently moved to Houston, Texas, to work and start a family. She was a caring and supportive mother, accomplished operatic vocalist, teacher, amateur artist, and avid reader.

She is survived by two sons, Christopher Martin, Loveland, CO, and Alex Martin, Oklahoma City, OK: two granddaughters, Kelsey Martin, Chapel Hill, N.C. and Hannah Martin, Ft. Collins, CO; two grandsons, Jeffrey Martin, Loveland, CO and Kyle Martin, Denver, CO; and a brother, Michael Roland.

Her husband, Harrison, and her parents, Dudley and Pearl, preceded her in death.
