Walter B. Hamilton, 89, 1801 East Elm, died Sunday afternoon in a local nursing home. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Fossett Funeral Home.

He was born Nov. 22, 1883 at Rock Port, MO , and as a small child moved with his parents to Narka, KS where he grew to adulthood. In 1904 he moved to a farm northeast of Hennessey. He was married Elsie Bond, Dec. 13, 1908. They moved to Enid in 1926 where he worked for the Frisco Railroad until his retirement in 1949. He was a member of the Central United Methodist Church and the Woodman of America Lodge.

Surviving are his wife Elsie, of the home; two sons, Russell, of Enid and Glen of Los Angeles, CA, four grandchildren, three nieces and two nephews.
