Lillie B. GILES Dies at the age of 80
Another of the Garfield Co. pioneer residence, Mrs. Lillie B. Giles, aged 80 years was claimed by death Thursday afternoon at an Enid Hospital. In failing health the last year, she was removed to the hospital about two weeks ago for the treatment of pneumonia. A few days ago she fell out of bed in the hospital and fractured her hip.
Coming to Oklahoma from Missouri in 1894, Mrs. Giles and her family made their home on a farm north-west of Waukomis, later establishing a home in Enid. Since the death of her husband 22 years ago, Mrs. Giles has made her home with her children.
Surviving are two sons, Dr. Joel P. Giles and George Giles, and two daughters, Mrs. Gale Divilbiss, all of Enid, Mrs. John Stocker of Waukomis. She also leaves four grandchildren,
Funeral services and burial were in Enid.
