April 4, 1956 - December 8, 2021

A Celebration of Life for Steven Kent Sharkey, age 65, of Enid, will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021, at the Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in the Enid Cemetery under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home. Steve was born April 4, 1956, in Enid, to Leonard Earl and Peggy (Freese) Sharkey, and passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at his home in Enid.

He attended school at Taft and Waller, graduating from Enid High School in 1974. He attended OSU, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the Business College at OSU. Thereafter, he bought and operated residential and commercial real estate, using a wide array of skills and hard work.

He married Jo Lynne Base on January 1, 2008, in Enid.

He is preceded in death by his father, Leonard Earl Sharkey and step-son Cameron Williams. He is survived by his wife of the home in Enid, Jo Lynne Sharkey; mother, Peggy Bandy and husband Bill, of Enid; two step-children, Amanda Williams of Garber, Tamara Kiser and husband Danny of Valdez, Alaska; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brother Roger Sharkey of Oklahoma City.

Memorial contributions in Steve's name may be made to The American Cancer Society, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
