Angela Owens
November 10, 1959 - July 20, 2023

The Homegoing services celebrating and honoring the life of Angela Owens, 63, of Ardmore, formerly of Enid, will be held 12:00 P.M. Saturday July 29, 2023, in the Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Enid Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

Angela Owens was born November 10, 1959, to Herbert Haley and Geneva Marie Owens in Enid, Oklahoma and passed from this life July 20, 2023, in Norman, Oklahoma.

She was raised and educated in Enid attending Enid Public Schools. She began working and raising her two children. She worked at The Enid State School for over twenty-five years until the time of their closing. She then began working in private group homes and nursing homes as a care giver until she was medically unable. She enjoyed writing and reciting poetry and traveling, which usually ended up with her needing someone to find her.

She is survived by her children Mahonna and Aaron Owens and Theophilus Locke; seven grandchildren, Iyahnna, Adonis Jr., Macy, Aryanna, Kylor, Alanna, and Theophilus Jr.; one brother, Adrail Owens, one sister, Martha Owens, aunts Beulah Martin, Phyllis Jones, and Mary Brown; uncles, Marcus Martin, Richard Jones, and Kenneth Martin; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Preston Toombs and Geneva Owens, four siblings, Robert Lee Owens, Ophelia Owens, Craig Owens, and Yolundrus Owens.
