She attended Enid schools and graduated with the class of 1961.

Following graduation, she went straight into the workforce and for over fifty years worked as a certified nurses' aide at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. She devoted her life to caring for others.

Very family oriented, Ethel enjoyed fishing with her brother Ralph and loved attending her great-nieces' softball games and school activities. She was an avid reader and enjoyed collecting dolls. Even homeless animals were cared for as she loved taking them in and nurturing them.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ralph Lawson, and his wife, Lila; brother, and Robert Lawson, and his wife, Linda Pierce.

Ethel is survived by a niece, Kellie Pitts (David), of Seminole; nephews, Chris Lawson and Cory Lawson (Yvonne Young), all of Enid; niece, Carrie Sloane (Sean), of Oklahoma City; niece, Tracie Lawson, of Enid; nephew, Scott Lawson, of Enid; niece, Miranda Lawson, of Enid; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; as well as great-great-nieces and -nephews whom she loved greatly. Ethel loved her family, and they returned that love tenfold.
