MR. J.E. GILES DEAD

Well Known Farmer Died Suddenly Sunday Morning

The Hornet regrets to learn of the death of Mr. J.E. Giles, who died at his home northwest of town Sunday morning, after a brief illness, of acute indigestion. Mr. Giles was among the first settlers of the strip and has been a resident here since the opening. He was a good neighbor and friend.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Enid Tuesday afternoon and interment in the Enid cemetery.

Mr. Giles was born in Fulton county, Illinois, and was 65 years of age. He came from Missouri to Oklahoma. He leaves a wife, two sons, Joel P. and Geo. Giles; and two daughters, Eva and Kittie Giles, and a sister, Mrs. Fale.
