March 3, 1939 - July 24, 2021

Prenella Faye (Pommitt) Philbrick, 82, of Medicine Lodge, KS, died Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Medicine Lodge Memorial Hospital.

She was born on March 3, 1939, in Garfield County, Oklahoma, the daughter of Alexander Dock Pommitt and Nina (Postier) Pommitt.

As a young woman, Prenella showed registered shorthorn cattle at state fairs in Texas, Oklahoma, and Kansas. After her divorce, she became an over-the-road truck driver and also delivered new school buses from coast to coast. Prenella was very passionate about animals and wildlife. She was a lifetime Lutheran by faith and attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Medicine Lodge, KS, and Faith Baptist Church in Attica, KS.

Prenella was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, J.C. Pommitt.

Cremation has taken place. A come-and-go reception will be held on Monday, August 16, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Larrison Funeral Home, 120 E. Lincoln, Medicine Lodge, KS 67104. Inurnment will be in Covington Cemetery, Covington, OK, on Monday, August 16, 2021, at 3:00 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Quarters for Canines, in care of Larrison Funeral Home, 120 E. Lincoln, Medicine Lodge, KS 67104.
