Bill Lee Hudspeth

February 6, 1939 - November 14, 2020

Graveside services for Bill Hudspeth, 81 will be Friday, November 20, 2020 at 11:00 am in Covington Cemetery, just south of town on Highway 74, Covington, Oklahoma with Chaplain Bill Liggett officiating. Military honors will be by US Army. Services are under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home, Enid.

Bill was born on February 6, 1939 in Enid to John and Cleo Berry Hudspeth and died on November 14, 2020 in Oklahoma City.

He grew up in Covington and graduated from Covington High School. In 1959, he married Bernice Thompson and Bill served in the US Army. He then attended OSU at Okmulgee. They returned to Garfield County to make their home. Bill worked at various retail businesses before working at Northrup at Vance Air Force Base, where he retired. He was a former member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and a member of Enid Mennonite Brethren Church, where Bill and Bernice served as Couple Deacons for several years. Bill enjoyed playing the guitar, animals, and drinking coffee with his friend, Jerry Hoffman. His family will always remember his laughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice; three daughters and their husbands, Lisa and Chris Wilkens of Grove, OK, Angela and John Grimmig of Springville, California, and Amanda and Scott Anderson of Ketchikan, Alaska; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren; step-sister, LaVerne Winebrenner; other relatives and friends.
