June 02, 1938 - December 11, 2019

The Funeral services celebrating and honoring the life of Barbara Ann Fischer, 81, of Enid will be held at 2:00 P.M. December 14, 2019 in the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Garber with Reverend Mark Hein officiating. Burial will follow in the Covington Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home.

She was born June 02, 1938 to Grover and Laura Campbell Cummings in Covington, Oklahoma and passed from this life on December 11, 2019 in Enid, Oklahoma.

She was raised and educated in Covington where she graduated from Covington High School. She married Lloyd Ray Fischer on August 24, 1957 in Covington, Oklahoma. She attended the Enid Beauty College and graduated in 1965. She also helped work for the Enid State School. In 1974 she began working at her own Beauty Salon in Covington. She was named Employee of the year for her work at the State School by Governor Dewey Bartlett. She then retired from the Enid State School in 1992. She was a homemaker and helped serve on the Garfield County Election Board. She enjoyed reading and crocheting. She absolutely loved spending time with her grandkids and being able to cook them their favorite meal of fried chicken.

She is survived by her husband Lloyd Ray Fischer, son, David Fischer, and wife Rhonda, daughter, Janet Kiss, grandchildren, Jennifer Carter and husband Aaron of Bartlesville and great granddaughter Rylee, Erin Bilyeu and husband Jeffrey of Garber, great grandchildren Allyson, Mandi, Avery and Easton, Douglas Fischer of Deer Trail, Colorado, Jessica Fischer-Reagan of Denver, Colorado, Brett Fischer and Melissa Johnson of Stillwater, OK., and Kendra Fischer of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister.

Memorials in her name may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Garber with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
