Opal Maxine (Spillman) Kimmell
July 22, 1933 - January 17, 2022

Funeral service for Opal Kimmell, 88, of Covington, will be Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 10 a.m. in the United Methodist Church, Covington. Burial will follow in Covington Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Burris Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be Friday evening from 5:30 to 7:00 at the funeral home.

Opal was born July 22, 1933, to Alva and Katie Spillman and passed away Monday, January 17, 2022. She graduated from Covington High School and later married Ansil "Dutch" Kimmell on October 22, 1951. She and Dutch raised three children while farming wheat and raising cattle and goats. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Covington United Methodist Church. Opal's greatest joys in life have been watching all the grandkids and a few of the great-grandkids play ball games.

Opal was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Dutch; son, Melvin; five brothers; and a sister. She is survived by her children, Linda and husband David Ross of Broken Arrow, Darryl and wife Mara Jo Kimmell of Pond Creek; daughter-in-law, Cathy Kimmell of Covington; 9 grandkids; and 17 great-grandkids.

Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris to Hospice Circle of Love. Condolences may be made online at www.andersonburris.com.
