Bernice Ruth HUDSPETH

Covington Cemetery

May 10, 1939 - February 1, 2022

Celebration of Life Service for Bernice Hudspeth, 82, will be Friday, February 11, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in Anderson-Burris Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Covington Community Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to Bill. Wearing a mask is optional.

Bernice was born on May 10, 1939, at the family farm in Perkins, Oklahoma, to Loal and Mary Thompson and passed away on February 1, 2022, in Ketchikan, Alaska.

She grew up in Hydro and Perkins, graduating from Perkins High School in 1957. Bernice attended OSU, before marrying Bill in 1959. They lived briefly in Okmulgee, before making their home in Enid. She was a family child care provider for many teachers' families. Bernice loved the children in her care.

Mom and Dad worked very hard to provide us a wonderful home and a Christian education at Oklahoma Bible Academy.

Bernice and Bill attended Enid Mennonite Brethren Church for many years. She loved attending the Mennonite Relief Sale and reconnecting with family and friends from Bethel Mennonite Church in Hydro.

Bernice is survived by her brother and his wife, Jimmy and Donna Thompson; daughters and their husbands, Lisa (Chris) Wilkens of Grove, Oklahoma, Angela (John) Grimmig of Springville, California, and Amanda (Scott) Anderson of Ketchikan, Alaska; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, and her parents.

Memorials may be made through Anderson-Burris to Oklahoma Bible Academy Scholarship Fund.

Condolences may be made at www.andersonburris.com.
