May 22, 1940 - April 13, 2020

The Funeral services celebrating and honoring the life of Stella M. Powell, 79, of Enid will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday April 16, 2020, in the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Breckinridge with Pastor Travis Orr officiating. Burial will follow in the Breckinridge Lutheran Church Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Brown-Cummings Funeral Home. Due to the current gathering restrictions all services may be viewed in real time on our Brown-Cummings Funeral Home Facebook page. She was born to Eldo and Leona Koons Sattelmeier on a farm near Breckinridge OK. on May 22, 1940. She attended Immanuel Lutheran School through the eighth grade and then attended Garber High School. She married the love of her life Howard Powell February 14, 1970, in the Zion Lutheran Church of Covington. Together with her husband they were contract pumpers for many years while raising their family. She was a longtime member of the Breckinridge Lutheran Church. She enjoyed working outside and was an avid gardener but, most of all she was a devoted Wife, Mother, Grand and Great-Grandmother always loving her family to be near her.

She is survived by her Husband of 50 years Howard (William) Powell of the home; Daughters, Tammy Wildman and husband Neil of Enid, OK. Tracy Steele and husband Glenn of Enid, OK., Son, Jamie Powell, wife Sonya Lee Powell of Brandenburg, Kentucky, 16 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, her brother and her Grandson Josh Sublett.

In lieu of flowers memorials in her name can be made to Breckinridge Lutheran Church Perpetual Cemetery Fund or current Fund of the Immanuel Lutheran Church of Breckinridge with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
