Breckinridge Cemetery


The funeral for Donald Gene Clover, 55, of Jefferson, will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Breckinridge. The Rev. Arthur McCormick will officiate. Burial will be 10 a.m. in Breckinridge Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements are by Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today, 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and Tuesday.

He was born Dec. 6, 1949, in Enid to Homer L. and Dorothy Meier Clover and died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005, at his home.

He graduated from Enid High School.

He married Joyce G. Palmer April 23, 1971. They made their home in Enid, later moving to Breckinridge. They moved to Pond Creek in 1977. They made their home in Jefferson in 1989.

He worked for USDA-NRCS as a soil conservation technician for 35 years, serving the Garfield and Grant county field offices. He served as trustee for the town of Jefferson, and was a member of the Moose Lodge, Enid. He also served as vice president of Oklahoma Centennial Chisholm Trail Cattle Drive Association, Pond Creek-Hunter Young Farmers, Quail Unlimited, National Rifle Association and American Chuckwagon Association.

Surviving are his wife, Joyce of the home; one daughter Mardeena Huschka of Dickinson, N.D.; one son Michael Clover of Chandler; his mother and stepfather, Dorothy and Ralph Eddington of Enid; one brother, Jack Clover of Carmen; and two sisters, Connie Woolman of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Wanda Dempewolf of Blanchard.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Centennial Chisholm Trail Cattle Drive Association, Hospice Circle of Love or Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery Fund.
