Services for Arthur M. Bacon. 71, Breckinridge, will be at 2:00 p. m. Saturday in the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Breckinridge.
The Rev. Carlton F. Kjergaard will officiate at the rite and buriel will be in the Immanuel Luthean Cemetery . Arrangements are under the direction of The Henninger-Allen Funeral Home.
Bacon died suddenly Wed. after a lengthy illness. He was born near Breckinridge and had lived his entire life in the Breckinridge area. He attended Qunta High School.
Bacon and Helen Mohlenbrink were married Sept. 3, 1930, in Breckinridge. He worked as a farmer and a contact oil pumper, until his retirement in 1970. Bacon was also manager of the grain elevator in Breckinridge for years.
He is survived by his wife Helen of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Lee (Phyllis) Bales of Jennings and Mrs. Jack ( Wilma ) Vivrett, Breckinridge; a son Merle Bacon, of Breckinridge; 7 grandchildren; 5 gr. grandchilden; 5 gr gr grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Faye Campbell.

Services for Helen Bacon, 84,Breckinridge, will be at 12:00 a. m. Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Breckinridge with Pastor Richard Docekal officiating. Buriel will be in the Immanuel Luthean Cemetery.
She was born June 1, 1912, on a farm near Breckinridge to Henry and Amelia Wiederkehr Mohlenbrink and died Monday, Sept. 5, 1994, in St. Mary's Hospital. She married Arthur Bacon Sept. 3, 1930 in Breckinridge. They were married for 52 years. He died in 1983. She was a lifetime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Breckinridge.
She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis Bales and Wilma Vivrett, a son Merle; two sisters, Sylvia Diel and Lorlene Haskins; 7 grandchildren; and 13 gr grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, and an infant brother.
