Bethany Cemetery


Funeral services for James Charles Goldman, 74, Enid resident, will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the parking lot of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service with Chaplain Butch Phillips officiating. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Bethany Cemetery, under the kind guidance of the Amy Stittsworth Funeral Service.

James was born on March 6, 1946 in Magazine, Arkansas, the son of Charlie and Fannie Goldman, and passed away peacefully on April 23, 2020 at his residence.

James moved to Oklahoma at the age of 8 and moving to Enid in 1977. He married Frances Bernadine Ireland on November 12, 1966. They were married 53 years. James worked for Vance Air Force Base for 32 years as a medium equipment operator. He retired after 32 years. He loved his job working with the pilots.

Survivors include James' wife, Frances of the residence; children, Deborah Ann Goldman, Rebecca Sue Ann Goldman, Billy Jack Goldman, and John Henry Goldman; fifteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.

James was preceded in passing by his father, Charlie, mother, Fannie, son, James Charles Goldman, Jr, sisters, Leona Adair, Geneva Plunkett, Ivanell Yandell.
