TALOGA - Aleene Bowser, 70, a Lenora resident, died Wednesday at a Seiling hospital. The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church in Lenora with the Rev. Mark Smith officiating. Burial will be in Riley Cemetery, southeast of Vici, directed by Shaw Funeral Home.

The casket will be open from 1 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home in Taloga.

She was born June 15, 1917 , near Lenora and graduated from Taloga High School in 1934. She was a homemaker and a member of Lenora United Methodist Church, Dewey County Historical Society, Two River Economic Development Association and the Senior Citizens Center. She also did volunteer work at the Vici Nursing Home for five years.

Survivors include a son, Jerry, of Yukon; her mother, Hattie Bales of Vici; a sister, Ollie Ross of Anaheim, Calif.; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe, in 1975, a son and a sister.
