 December 31, 1889 ~ February 16, 1979

Vici – Bert Hickman, 69, farmer and rancher from the Vici area, died Friday in a Watonga hospital. His service will be at 2:30 PM Sunday in the Lenora United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Stephensson, pastor, and the Rev. Bob Cox, pastor of Taloga First Christian Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Raymond Cemetery at Lenora under the direction of Shaw Funeral Home, Vici.

Hickman was born December 31, 1889, at Turon, Kansas, and moved to Dewey County with his parents in 1900, settling near Lenora where he was raised. He lived in the Lenora area until recently, when he moved to Vici.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Opal Lambert, Fritch, Texas; two sons, Kenneth of Taloga and Burton of Vici; 14 grandchildren, and 23 great – grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gertie, one son, his twin sister and one brother.
