Valley View Cemetery
aka Murphy-Maley Cemetery

This information provided by Pat Hunt: It is also called the Murphy-Maley Cemetery, (less preferred name also often misspelled as Murphey) the land for the cemetery was originally donated by E. J. Murphy for Oklahoma pioneers and the family has kept the area mowed ever since. I've seen it described as being 3 miles west of Clinton, Oklahoma. We always said we were 7 miles west of Clinton and our house was less than half a mile west of the cemetery. No one from the Murphy, Hunt or Maley families were buried in that cemetery until Helen Hunt Maley moved D. N. Hunt, Grace Gertrude Murphy Hunt and E. J. Hunt from the Clinton Cemetery to the Valley View Cemetery. Then Helen Hunt Maley, A. R. Maley, and Asa Hunt Maley were buried in the Valley View Cemetery.
