Linda Kay Dixon, age 53, of Oilton, Oklahoma, passed away, early Thursday morning, April 2, 2009, at the family home. Her funeral services have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Oilton, Oklahoma and will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2009, at the Oilton Christ Fellowship Church with Pastor Gary Krlin officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Cemetery at Oilton, Oklahoma.

Mrs. Dixon was born on March 8, 1956, in Drumright, Oklahoma, the daughter of Kenneth V. and Emma (Browning) Deeds. She grew up in Oilton where she attended school. Linda was united in marriage to Richard A. Dixon on December 30, 1986, in Oilton. She was a homemaker, enjoyed camping, cooking, fishing, bingo, and baking-especially making cookies and candy. The biggest joy in her life was spending time with her friends and family. She also enjoyed reading the recovery Bible.

Linda is survived by her husband, Richard A. Dixon of the home in Oilton; her father, Kenneth V. Deeds and step-mother Mary of Oilton; one son, Gary Gregory of Perkins; one daughter, Michelle Phillips of Oilton; one brother, Kenneth W. Deeds of Oilton; one step-sister, Vasca Stanley of Moore, one adopted sister, Bobbie Brydson of Cushing; fifteen grandchildren: two great grandchildren; her mother-in-law, Vivian Dixon of Houston, Texas; other relatives and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, a sister Teresea Gore and three grandchildren.

Visitation for Linda will be held from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. Sunday; 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday; 9 a.m. until noon Tuesday all at the Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Oilton.
