Patrick Henry Hayes

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 14, 2016 at 10am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lawton for Patrick Henry Hayes who passed away May 9, 2016 at the age of 83. He was a resident of Lawton.

Mr. Hayes was born March 17, 1933 in Syracuse, New York to Charles Howard Hayes and Amilda Frances [Jarvis] Hayes.

He was married to Norma [Standing] Hayes on June 9, 1952.

Soon after his marriage to Norma, Mr. Hayes joined the United States Army where he served our country from March of 1953 to June of 1973 as a CW4. He honorably served our country as a helicopter and fixed-wing pilot and instructor, serving during Korea and 3 tours in Viet-Nam.

After his retirement from the United States Army, Mr. Hayes worked as the assistant manager of the Lawton Airport as well as selling tools for Snap On Tool Company. Mr. Hayes also owned Pat's Discount Auto Parts for several years.

He is survived by his daughters Linda Hayes of Lawton, Mary Barker and her husband Randy of Lawton ; his son Patrick Hayes Jr. and his wife Kazie of South Fork, Colorado; his two grandchildren Sean McLaughlin and his wife Joy and Charlie Hayes. He is also survived by his two great-grandchildren Ethan and Zoe McLaughlin.

He was preceded in death by his wife Norma [Standing] Hayes in August of 2008 and by his infant son Francis in October of 1956.

Concluding services and interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park in Lawton.

Norma [Standing] Hayes

Funeral Mass for Norma Hayes, 76, Lawton, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Fort Sill Frontier Chapel with the Rev. Gary Fukes officiating.

Mrs. Hayes died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2008, in Lawton.

Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens under direction of Whinery-Huddleston Funeral Service.

She was born Dec. 1, 1931, in Chittenango, N.Y., to Walter and Violet Standing. She grew up in Chittenango and graduated from Chittenango High School in 1949. She attended business school after graduation.

She married Patrick Hayes in 1952 at Chittenango.

She spent the next 20 years with her husband and family at various duty stations including Hawaii, Italy, California, Alabama and Fort Sill.

She returned to school after her husband's retirement and earned her bachelors degree in accounting from Cameron University.

She attended Mass at Frontier Chapel and was in the Catholic choir for more than 35 years.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; two daughters and a son-in-law: Linda Hayes, and Mary and Randy Barker, all of Lawton; a son and daughter-in-law, Patrick Jr. and Kazie, and their son, Charlie, all of Colorado; a grandson and his wife, Sean and Joy McLaughlin, and their children: Ethan and Zoe, all of Missouri; a sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Roy Smith, Camden, N. Y.; and many extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
