Brian Douglas Gibson

Birth date: November 13, 1965
Death date: December 22, 2014

Brian's family would like to announce his recent change of address. As of December 22, 2014, he is no longer living in Norman, OK, but is currently residing in heavenly places with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Brian, 49, was greeted upon arrival by his grandparents George and Pansy Ficklin, formerly of Coffeeville, Kansas, grandmother Margaret Wood of Chanute, KS, and his father George W. Wood Jr. of Wichita, KS, aunt, Nancy Roark of Winfield, KS, all of whom sincerely acknowledge Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior during their earthly tenure, and a host of other friends and relatives.

Those waiting to join him at a later date are his daughter Kady Nicole Gibson of Longwood, FL, his mother Mozelle Gibson of Lawton, two brothers, Larry Gibson of Wichita, KS, Mark Allan Gibson of Tallahassee, FL, and a step-brother Lee Alan Gibson and wife Gina of Cache, OK, two uncles; Earl Ficklin and his wife Alta of Berryton, KS, Robert Wood of Kinsley, KS aunt, Avanelle Rankin of Longton, KS, a step-sister, Janet Trahan and husband Howard of Walters, two nieces, Michelle Mueller and husband Dr. David Mueller of Rapid City, SD, Kaci Michelle Biggs and husband Tanner of Lawton, also a special friend "aunt" Imajean Ledford of Lawton, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was born in Lawton on November 13, 1965.

He was educated in Lawton at Eisenhower Grade School, Eisenhower Jr. High, Eisenhower High School and graduated in 1984. He then graduated from Cameron University with a degree in chemistry and biology. While in Lawton he worked at Southwestern Hospital and the Lawton Dialysis Center.

After he moved to Norman he worked as a chemist at Bioside and also at Purcell, OK., and more recently worked as a supervisor at the Riverwind Casino.

He had several hobbies, one of which was working with wood and another was music. He was especially fond of quartet singing and would frequently return to Lawton to hear the Lawton Barbershoppers quartet sing. He loved his family, Trinity Baptist Church and OU.

Memorials:
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lawton Food Bank or Christian institution of the donor's choice to help others make similar 'travel and retirement' plans.
